Life Hurts, God Heals (LHGH)

Native people lead our nation in:

  • teen suicide
  • alcoholism
  • shortest life expectancies
  • lowest percentage of high school graduates
  • lowest per-capita income
  • highest levels of unemployment

Our students are directly affected by these things, and because of them our kids are hurting. Life Hurts, God Heals is a program that speaks into the lives of our students who suffer from abuse and addictions.

LHGH is an 8-step (get help, open your heart, depend on christ, hear and speak, embrace God's way, ask for forgiveness, live for God, share with others), Biblically-based program developed by Doug Fields, John Baker, and Megan Hutchinson. This program gives students life-long tools to deal with their unresolved hurt and pain.
